Lalitha Sahasranamam is the 1000 naamams of Sri Lalithambikai which when recited with utmost devotion can bring about positive changes in life. This is what Soundaram@Vijayalakshmi and I discovered.
Soundaram and I go back to our college days and even before that to kindergarten. We thought of telling the meaning of a naamam a day to our college whatsapp group. On the day of Chitra Pournami, 2020, what started as a daily exercise became a passion with both of us and what we decided to do for our college group, we extended it to making it a blog. With the Goddess's blessing, we hope to bring a simple translation of the naamam to everyone so that each can understand the meaning while chanting.
We have tried to provide an image, the Sanskrit naamam, it's English words, it's translation and an audio so that each naamam can be recited slowly. The naamams can be accessed via labels present on the right side of this page. Each naamam is presented in a repetitive audio so that the learners can play it upto the point they know that naamam by heart and then proceed to the next one.
We have also added the naamavali just below the naamam.
We hope to cater to people who have an active interest in reciting the Lalitha Sahasranamam.
